Kate Lyn was born at 5:54pm on Saturday November 29^th 2003

She weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.

All went well. Very well actually...
my water broke a little before 2:30pm Saturday and I started having contractions a little after 3 they started pretty strong and 3-5 minutes apart.... thankfully I made to the hospital ok and found out I was already dilated to a 5 they gave me my epidural and checked me again and I was at 8... next thing I knew .. although the epidural was working VERY well (I had to look at the monitor to see when my contractions were LOL)... I was feeling like the need to push... a few contractions later she was born at 5:54pm.... boy was that fast! Blink and you missed it LOL She was 8 lbs. 6 oz. 19 1/2 inches long and just beautiful. I can't believe how pretty she is. She barely cried after birth. She is really quiet except for when she needs a diaper change LOL then she has something to say.

I have already noticed a little of the reflux that my youngest son had when he was born. She didn't do well on Enfamil but I didn't have plans to keep her on that formula anyway.. Carnation Good start is what she will have at home.... it just what they like to use in the hospital. Other than that she is just perfect. I am so thankful all went well and we are back home.

Sadly we have had a tummy bug go through the family over the weekend (even me...dad had to be home with the sick boys the whole time I was in the hospital) and I have a little cold again too it almost gone as it started Thanksgiving Day. I am hoping not to get her sick.
